Thinking of You

Good Morning..It is going to be a hot one today and tomorrow, high 90's, and me with no air condition. May be I will buy one for next year, but I find my place is always cool unless it reaches 90 which is only a few days out of the year. I had an air conditioner up here last summer when it was 100, I used that thing 3 days out of the whole summer..
Well on to my card. This is for Speedy the cat challenge, colors..yellow, pink and green.

Stamp: Happy Pansies, Mark's Finest Papers
Tools: copics and MS punches

Redeeming the Time

Can you believe it is Sat already! Time sure is moving fast. Which got me pondering on Ephesians 5 "Redeeming the time for the day's are evil." Am I making good use of my time? Am I growing as a blood bought child of Christ? Does my light shine bright? Time is moving fast which means my time on this earth is getting shorter and shorter and one day I will stand before the King of Kings and give account of my time on this earth. I pray all of us who are in Christ Jesus think about our time and how it is spent.

This is for "Speedy the cat's friends challengeIt is a color challenge this week and Joanne has picked the colors "Red & Green" easy.

Stamp: "Nature's Postage" by Mark's Finest Papers.

Speedy's The Cat Challenge #31

Alright then..Did every one have a fabulous Thanksgiving? Any time to be with friends and family is a great time. I made some awesome sweet potato pies, my own secret recipe. In my family we all are good cooks and we often have cook offs, who makes the best of something. Since we are southern folks you better believe the food we cook is not for health but flavor :). Even the men folk are awesome cooks in my family, some cook better then  women. My specialty is sweet potato pies, baked mac and cheese, fried cabbage and barbecue. Every year some one (including me) will try and out do some one else who's dish came out better. :) Because we are a 5 (living) generation family, Thanksgiving is divided at 3 homes and since we live in a small town, we spend the day going house to house sampling every ones dishes. :) Believe me when I tell you I only eat like this once a year whereas my people eat like this every day. And no-they are not fat :).

Well this is for Speedy's the Cats challenge - "Bow's" it doesn't get easier then that.

Also for Spoon Full of Sugar, anything goes

Joyful Song

I have found I love white cards :) they are my favorite. This stamp set is from Marks Finest Paper. "Musical Holiday" Isn't it pretty? So versatile.

I find singing joyful songs about the Lord and His Greatness and Mercy keeps my soul so at peace. Because of the way the world is going and all the negative that can come my way, I fill my mind with the things of God, reading His Word and singing His praises. These things keeps my soul at rest.

Speedy's The Cat Challenge #29

Good morning. It is time for another challenge with Speedy the Cat's Friends. This week Laurie has challenged us to use "snowflakes" on our cards. Since I do have a small supply of Winter and Christmas supplies, this was a challenge. I love Spring and Summer - so must of my stamping supplies involve these seasons :).
This is a new set from MFP "Musical Holiday" and if you followed their hop this week you would have seen some of the most creative way's the girls used this set along with the other new releases.

I stamped the music sheet and cut out and inked with a walnut stain, then I stamped and cut out the hollies, I used my snowflake embossing folder from cuttle bug and the strip with the snowflake is from a paper pack DCWV. All papers and that cute charm is from MFP. Head on over to Speedy the Cat's Friends for a chance to win a stamp set, a winner for every 50 entries.

Recipes for you

I hope every one had a fabulous weekend.. I was in bed most of the time, I am still on antibiotics, I will be through this weekend.  But then they found that most of my troubles may have started from a bad gall bladder. Yep, you guessed I will have to have surgery, when? well I go back to my Dr.s in a few weeks after they take care of this problem. I have H-Pylori, gallstones, kidney stones and uncontrollable thyroid. This is from a person who never drinks alcohol, 80 percent of my diet is fruit and veg. you can not find cookies or candy in my house, I was MT climbing and playing racket ball, swimming until 3 years ago when I began to get ill,  I am known as a health nut. :) Well enough of my woes..hehehe It is all a blessing.

This is for Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge #10, "use a die cut" I used spellbinders square and petite oval, the stamp is from from Mark's Finest, paper is Gina K luxury white, dp is stamping up.
I got this idea from Mary over at "My cardz my passions" check her out she is one talented lady. the scallop square is a holder for the recipes in the back and you can just hang these on the freg. how cool.

Have a Blessed day.
