A little Bird

I am always amazed with nature how intricate it is, everything has a reason and purpose, even a little bird, how they labor daily to build their nets and then to feed their screaming little babies. And as I watch them year after year the word of God comes to my mind how God takes care of them, that is why Jesus say's in Mt10:29 " Are not 2 sparrows sold for a penny, and yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from the will of God." How much more do we mean to God.

This is for 2 challenges, the challenge at Crissy's was to make dots with your copics, she has a video on this.
1. Stamp TV Sketch
2. Sunday with Crissy "dots"

Stamps "Stamping up bird house"
Paper Gina K luxury white and cream de menthe, design paper (dp) is K&C

Happy Spring.

What a beautiful Sunday Morning. I love Sundays, it is the one day of the week where all the saints meet together and worship together. I have a home church every where I go :). I go to the same church here in RI, when I go home to Va. I go to the same church when I was little, when I am in North Carolina I have a home church, when I am in TN I have a home church. But I can go anywhere and be at home in Church, because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ - who are saved...

Now this does not happen often, but this card covers a few challenges.
1. Stamp TV Sketch Challenge
2. Stampin Sisters in Christ, Make a card/project with flowers
3. Our Creative Corner (OCC) Beautiful butterflies

Hopeing.

This is 2 stamps combined. Gina K Autumn Beauty by Theresa Momber and Precious.
This reminds me of prayer; We hope God will hear and we hope God will answer. The truth is God always hears and He always answers the prayers of His children. It may not be when we want it to be or how we want it, but God is always working on our behalf. Trying to increase our faith, build our trust. Can we stand like Job "Tho He slay me, yet will I praise Him". Or do we crumble with unbelief?

Have a blessed Day

Garden full of Roses

We have been having a heat wave here in RI, 45 degrees, after having temperatures of 15 and 18 degrees, this feels like Spring. I wish the whole winter would be 45 to 50 degrees. :)

This is for the Stamp TV sketch challenge. I do not know about you, but it takes me days to figure out what I want to do first before I begin working on a challenge.

Stamps: The roses are from Cape Arago rubber stamps, which I gold embossed and colored with copics. The flowers on the fence are from Lindy's stamp gang, I stamped those first colored them and then used the Martha Steward fence punch. I wanted to try and keep this clean and simple. How did I do :).

Until next time, have a blessed day

Monday Again

Well Monday is here again, it seems to come by to fast. I hope every one had a wonderful weekend. I surely did, the temps were 80 with blue skys, something we have not seen to often this summer, and we are having thunderstorms for the next 4 days.
This is for the stamp TV sketch challenge. I stamped this 3 times and paper pieced the flower and a few leaves, paper pieced the pot. used my nesties and the Fiskars boarder punch, these things are great, especially the storage saver ones. Colored with pencil and oms.

Stamps Gina K "friendship's Garden"
Paper Gina K white luxury and DCWV design paper.

Now I will leave you with a funny to start off your Monday.

THE ARMY OF THE LORD

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door shaking hands with the people as they were leaving. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside. The preacher said to him, "Brother, you need to join the Army of the Lord!"

My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, preacher."

The preacher looked puzzled and asked, "How come I don't see you in church except at Christmas and Easter?"

My friend whispered back, "I'm in the secret service.".

Peace Within

This is my Stamp TV sketch challenge. Now the story behind this card :). I went to my girlfriends house Sunday at 10:30 am (she is also a demo) to use some of her new stamps and her new copics, (mine are not here yet) We talked, laughed, looked through all her new goodies experimented with inks and mediums and when I looked at the time it was 3:30 and I had done nothing but stamp and color this image :), I had to bring it home to finish it. But we had a good time.

Stamp is Stamping Up new one "Peace within" which I do not own yet.. Colored it with copics, Cut out using my nesties, paper pieced the pillow with the same design paper for background, which is SU, I do not know which one because my girlfriend has so much and gave me this piece. Added a little bling bling and ribbon from Micheals using my new "bow easy" This thing is great, I love toys that makes things easier.

Well have a Great Day

Just had to share this funny joke I saw this morning..

BATS IN THE BELFRY

Three pastors were having lunch at a diner.

The first one said, "You know, since the summer started I've been having a lot of trouble with bats in the loft and attic at my church. I've tried everything -- noise, spray, cats -- nothing seems to scare them away."

The second pastor replied, "Me too. I've got hundreds of those things living in my belfry and in the narthex attic. I had the whole place fumigated, but they still won’t go away."

The third pastor then said, "I had that problem a while ago. So I baptized them and made them members of the church. Haven't seen one back since!"

A Peaceful Life

When I was coloring this it reminded me of a "peaceful life". As I look over my life of 54 years I am blessed for I can say I am at peace, I have no regrets, no anger, no un-forgiveness. All my trials were for my good and I learned that lesson at a young age that even in evil towards me God was working for my good. Not long ago I saw some ladies that I grew up with(old gang members) yes in my early years I was in a gang, seems like a life time ago, one is in a mental institute, some in jail, some heroin and crack addicts , some has aids, and all I could think about was this could have been me, but for the grace of God He reached down and plucked me out of the fires of this life style and saved me. And from that moment over 3o years ago, I have been blessed with a life of peace, O yes I have been through great trials in my life, but none the less The God who was able to save me from that life style I believed that He could work out all the rest.
This is my stamp tv sketch challenge#13, the stamp is by creative images and the paper is basic grey, colored with pencil and oms.

Happy Mother's Day

This card is for "stamp TV sketch challenge 11" If you have not tried out their challenges you should (you can win free stamps) :) :)No I haven't won anything yet, but I am trying. Sketch challenges are my absolute favorite, I need a place to begin and sketches help get my limited creative juices flowing.. A lot of work went into this card, this was my 4th one before I was happy with the results.
Stamp: Cape Arago, gold embossed, used stickles to decorate, then used my cuttlebug to cut out design which was glued down, used stickles in the corner, those are half circles punched out and stickles in the center of them, the design paper is Basic grey Marrakech.
Have a great Mother's Day
Blessings
