Safe In His Arms

Good Morning all.

Well I am off for 2 weeks, temp. layoff. We once had 4 buildings filled with people and programs and now we are down to 2 buildings and we are getting ready to close this one done and move to the one remaining. That means the company has layoff permanently  over   3000 people in the past 10 years.  Things are not looking good here in RI.

But, I know that my Father in Heaven will take care of me, I am safe in HIS ARMS, HE is the one who opens and closes doors, HE is the one who gives us favor, He is the one who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob is my Father, and what He did for them and their children He will still do today if we believe and trust HIM, we will be in perfect peace.

That is why I hopped on done to Newport to see my BF Karen yesterday to make cards :). We always have such a great time together, talking & creating. She has some great stuff and a very creative mind.

I made this card for the sketch challenge over at splitcoast stampers

And this is the one she made for my son

These cards was made with the Willington bear decoupage kit, and the card base is from SU. The time piece is from Tim Holtz.

Well that is it for me, remember me in your prayers. Hugs :)

Faith

Good Morning all

Well it is snowing again here in RI, not to heavy, but heavy enough to shovel :).

Faith..I have been put into a new dept. and the job is not easy. I have been praying for the Lord to bless my mind and bless my hands. I have been on this new job for 2 days and for 2 day's in a row I have messed up the product. Then as I was praying it came into my heart that I needed courage and faith to fail! To try and try and not quit takes faith that HE has heard my prayer and HE will help me, but I can not give up. It takes FAITH to continue and not give up.

Today I am entering the Sketch challenge over at Splitcoast stampers SC473

Paper: Georgia Pacific
Stamp: ODB Faith & Special moments stickers

Service

Good Morning or should I say Good afternoon my blogging friends.. I decided to try out the tech challenge at Split coast stampers, this is my first time playing with them, can you imagine.. TL336 'stamp the sentiment over the image'.

Service to the Lord;
Is more then just going to church or working in the church, it is how we treat our fellow man, how we treat our enemies. I have enemies on my job, those who hate what I stand for, they think I am weak because I will not hold a grudge or say unkind things about some one who may say unkind things about me. I pray and ask God how I can love them with action. I always have a smile and make them cards, send them flowers when they are ill. Our service begins when we wake praying for directions for the day. Service for God will always take us out of our comfort zone.

I pulled out one of my first stamps from Cornish Farms, which is closed now. stamped with SU creamy Carmel, used my minds eye dp.

Stamp: Cornish Farms
Paper: Gina K luxury white, my minds eye
Tools: cuttle bug, nestibilites elegant posts

Thank you for your prayers, I am feeling better today.
Have a Blessed Day

Gentle Thoughts

Do you ever wonder how God see's you? Though I know I am saved by the finished work of Jesus, there are times when I do stupid things and then think; "Lord, what do you think of me."  I know He thinks of me as his child, a little child who is growing and trying to overcome sin. I know He thinks of me as I did my son when he was small and he would do things he should not have done but was so remorseful I could not help but to love him more and help him more to grow up to be a man of honor. That is how God see's us, a humble heart He will not turn away but loves us for trying and encourages us to keep running the  race. That is what I think of with this stamp, Gentle thoughts of you.

I had made this card for the Split Coast sketch challenge. Stamped the butterfly in vellum and colored, made a ribbon flower.

Things I used:
Stamp: SU Garden Collage
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo
Paper:SU and vellum
Tools: copics.

One Man

In the book of Gen. Abraham intercedes for Sodom, he asked God "Would you destroy the righteous with the unrighteous?" He started with 50 "If you find 50 righteous, God said if He found 50 He would not destroy the city, Abraham continued until he reached 10 and God said for the sake of 10 I will not destroy the city. But God could not even find 10 righteous people only Lot, his wife (who was turned into a pillar of salt) and his 2 daughters were saved, and Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. Now it came into my mind that just One man prayed "interceded", it only takes one person who walks with God to find favor with God. One man praying for a city and God heard and would do what Abraham asked, He just could not find 10 righteous people. Now God never changes what He did for Abram He will do for us, of coarse our problem is FAITH. Can you imagine what we could do those who are in Christ Jesus started to really pray. One man - Abraham interceded for a city. How Awesome.

This is for the Stamp TV sketch challenge.
A Crafty Little Place - Anything goes
The Paper Players - Anything goes

Stamp: Farm Life by Theresa Momber by Gina K
Ink: Memento tux black,
Paper: Stonehenge, basic Grey
Colored with color pencils and oms, sentiment from Gina K "comfort and Peace" and the second sentiment is computer generated.

Well I will be seeing you Sunday with another new challenge with Stampin Sisters In Christ. {{Huggs}}

Early Mornings

Good morning; its looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here. I have been out of work for 3 days due to illness, I am on a regime of antibiotics that you need a note pad to keep up with them :).I find that when I do get ill I draw closer to God, for it is He and He alone who holds my breath in the psalm of His hands. Some years ago I prayed for a good Dr. and the Lord lead me to Dr. Parameswaran, she is the best Dr. ever, she leaves no stone unturned, she is funny, she calls you at your home with results right away-she has already called in the prescriptions for you, and any Dr. she refers you to she is up and down their backs for answers :). God is so good. Some years ago I prayed for a good Dentist and the Lord lead me to Dr. Noriega who is one of the most caring and gifted Dentist on the East coast. I am an early morning prayer I bring all my needs to the throne all my hurts then I sit and listen for what God has to say. I love early mornings.

This card is for the Split Coast sketch challenge.

God Bless You

I have so many cards to make for so many wonderful people in my life, tho they think I am the cream in their coffee :), they are the sugar that makes my life sweet. I am the rugged type, I will mow your lawn, cut your hedges, clean your house do your laundry free of charge just because of the love of Christ that dwells in me for them. They in turn send me designer cloths, leave meals at my door are there for me 24 hours a day without hesitation our hearts our open to each other what ever the circumstance. We (my sisters in Christ) have been blessed with one another, out side of having Jesus what more could one ask for..

This is for a few challenges.
1. Split coast sketch challenge #279
2. dareu2digistamp using flowers and digi stamp
3. creataliciouschallenges using flowers and wings (my bee)
4. Sassy Cheryl's Digi challenge #10

Satisfied

It seems the more we have the more we want, and what we have is never enough. Are you satisfied? The Word of God speaks a lot about being satisfied in the place of life He has given us. Whether we are in the season of plenty or the season of want, there are lessons to be learned, the greatest lesson is to be able to be thankful, grateful for the steak or the slice of bread. Because God wants to know that we love Him for who He is not what we can Get. I have been homeless with no food to eat and I have been alone, but I have been blessed to be satisfied with presence of God, I love Him for who He is not because of what I have.

This stamp comes from Lindy's stamp gang, she has the cutest stamps, the women who created these stamps died almost 2 years ago, but her company is still growing strong. I Cut this out with nesties, colored with pencil and gamsol, embossed with the cuttle bug. The paper is DCWV, and I have no idea where I got those spoons. This is for the Splitcoast sketch challenge. Hope you like.

God Shall Supply

Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus". A friend of mine called me and began to complain about her hardship's and that she could not see how she was going to pay her bills. I asked her, have you been without anything in this past year? In which she replied, NO! And I told her if God has taken care of you this whole year what makes you think that He will stop now? See I believe in the promises of God, He has promised to supply all my needs, not my wants :). The Word also speaks upon how He even takes care of the needs of His animal kingdom, (owls included) :) and if He does it for them how much more for us who mean so much more to Him that believe!
This is my SC228 sketch challenge, this was stamped with 4 different stamps, I do not know where the owl came from, but the tree is from impressions and the critters from Lindy's stamp gang. Colored with pencils and cut out with my nesties.

The voice of the Lord

Every day you hear the distress of the world, loss of jobs, homes, money; you hear of famines diseases, weather changes, weather disasters. But for the people of God who know His word, we know that it is God who sits on the throne and He has the power over all things. When Jesus walked on water and spoke to the storm you understand Psalms 29 much better. "The voice of the Lord is over the waters" With a word, He created the heavens and the earth, with a word He can mend a broken heart, renew the spirit of a man, He can take a Shepard and make him a king. I know many will say, "If God is a God of love how can He allow these things to happen?" His love is through His Son Jesus Christ, the only way, the only truth. But His wrath is being poured out upon the whole earth, as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now this little message is not up for dispute, I am stating what I firmly believe. :)
This is the split coast sketch challenge #226
stamps- Indadinkado, everything is gold embossed, and sponged with inks.

PS I know .. I forgot "the" :)

Friends

Col 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive what ever grievances you many have against one another, Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Do you have Good friends? Are you a Good friend? As I was making this card I was thinking about this. I am blessed to have 2 good friends, the type you can call 24 hours a day, who would walk the Sahara desert for you type of friends, the type of friends if they only had a slice of bread would give you half, who holds no record of wrong against you and who never judge you. I in turn have been that kind of friend to them, because we have good examples of what true friendship is all about, our example is Jesus Christ, there for we love each other freely and forgive quickly. Zoe at Eureka Stamps/Biblical Impressions
emailed me to offer me a free stamp, free shipping included :), and this is that stamp. I thought it was very generous of her to do so. This is the Splitcoast challenge #222, by the wonderful Roxie
Recipe: This card is a 6x5 1/2, the Stamp is from Eureka, stamped with Palette black, colored with gamsol and pencils and sharpies. The design paper is from Michaels. And that cute dragon fly (4 in a package) is by recollections I found at Michaels for one dollar :). The flower which is cut in half is from the wonderful Mandy over at Limelight papercrafts
God Bless

Three's

Happy Monday, we got a lot of snow this morning, it took me almost 2 hours to shovel my car out, I am getting to old for this stuff, every muscle in my body is hurting, my arms feel like they are going to fall off :). This is my SC 217 challenge. This was done with my dollar stamps from Micheal's, used my CB. I had made 3 cards for this challenge, "hated them" this was my fourth :). I have to keep this cause it is almost time for a new challenge :).
