Love

Good Morning.. Well we here in RI got plenty of snow to make up for all the warm and snow-less days we have been getting this winter. 16 inch's in some places. Snow started at 7am Sat. and ended 7pm. I thank God for snow plow's and for the good Samaritans who came by my house and plowed out my walk and parking space for free.

I created this card for the Stampin Sister's in Christ challenge "Hearts" Do you think I have enough of them :).

I am also entering this for There she goes, "Love is in the air"

I used  the cuttle bug die and embossing love language and used Gina K luxury lipstick red paper.

Thank you for stopping by

Stamping Sisters in Christ #118

Good Sunday Morning, it is time again for another Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge..
Our dear Lisa is the hostess this morning and she has chosen.........
Matthew 1:20-22, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'"

Her challenge: Make a card/project depicting an angel, now that was a challenge for me because I only own 2 angel stamps. This is from Stamping Up. Gold embossed.

Our Sponsor this week is Clear dollar stamps, they are giving out a $15 gift certificate to the blessed winner.

I just found out I won the blog hop for Heart felt stamps...yahoo.

Well You all have a Blessed Day

SSIC #116

Good Morning..It is time for another Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge. I am the hostess this morning :). The scripture I choose ..Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him. Why would I trust God?? Because.......

He will not leave you nor forsake you, I have had times of overwhelming presence and other times it seems like He is not there. Will I still walk in the truth of His Word! Will I still believe even if I do not feel Him!  His presence is like training wheels, as long as I feel His presence I believe He is and that He cares, but what do I do when the training wheels come off? Is He any less real, any less present? Any less loving? No…His word which He has given us is a solid foundation that helps us not to fall prey to seducing spirits. Oswald Chambers say’s it better than I ever could .

We have the idea that God rewards us
for our faith, it may be so in
the initial stages; but we do not
earn anything by faith, faith
brings us into right relationship with
God and gives God His opportunity. God
has frequently to knock the bottom
board out of your experience if you are
a saint in order to get you into contact
with Himself. God wants you to understand
that it is a life of faith, not a life of
sentimental enjoyment of His blessings.
Your earlier life of faith was narrow and
intense, settled around a little sun-spot of
experience that had as much of sense as of
faith in it, full of light and sweetness;
then God withdrew His conscious blessings
in order to teach you to walk by faith. You
are worth far more to Him now than
you were in your days of conscious delight
and thrilling testimony.

Faith by its very nature must be tried,
and the real trial of faith is not that
we find it difficult to trust God, but
that God’s character has to be cleared
in our own minds. Faith in its actual
working out has to go through spells of
unsyllabled isolation. Never confound the
trial of faith with the ordinary discipline
of life, much that we call the trial of
faith is the inevitable result of being alive.

Faith in the Bible is faith in God against
everything that contradicts Him – I will
remain true to God’s character whatever
He may do. “Though He slay me, yet will I
trust Him” – this is the most sublime utterance
of faith in the whole of the Bible.
–Oswald Chambers

I love how Oswald Chambers put this, just awesome.

My Challenge for you is to ..make a card of praise, using music, stamp, or design paper or just the word praise, a bird singing, just be creative.....

I gold embossed this image, I brought this as part of a grab bag by a company going out of business when I first starting crafting. The musical note is from Marks finest paper.

Our Sponsor this week is   Pizzazz Aplenty. Check them out, they have some gorgeous stuff. They are giving away a $15  gift certificate.

Well I have been so busy today, where I have moved to is a lot of country, which means a lot of trees with a lot of leaves.... It took me 4 hours to get them up and I still do not  have the back part of the yard  done yet. Maybe a wind will come and blow them away :). All I know is I can barely move.
Well all of you have a blessed Day and remember to stop by the Stampin Sisters In Christ to see what my other sisters have created.

Thank You

Good Morning all you fabulous people.. My goodness the time flies by, it is time for another Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge. This week Traci is our hostess and she has chosen

1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." ESV.

The closer we walk with Christ the easier this will be done.  In 1975 when I first got saved I had to go to the emergency room because I had suffered with bleeding ulcers most of my life and my stomach was filling up with blood. The Dr.s said they had to pump my stomach ASP, something came over me and I refused to have anything done God would heal me or take me home. I had to sign a release form stating the hospital was not liable for my death because I had refused treatment. When I signed and walked out I was healed, I never had another problem with my stomach since. What Dr.s could not do for me all those years God did in an instant when I obeyed how the Holy Spirit was leading me. That one act of faith helped me to grow to the point of praising Him through all circumstances.  Because I know that "All things work together for those who love the Lord and have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

Traci's challenge for us is to
Create a card or project that depicts gratitude...
it can be an image of something you are grateful for, a scripture that evokes your gratitude, or it can be a card made especially for a person you would like to thank this time of year!!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp "We are Family Dolls." Please remember to stop by Stampin Sisters In Christ to read Traci's devotional and to check out what my other sisters have created.

Ingrediants:
Paper: Georgia pacific & SU
Stamp: dollar store
tools: cuttle bug, embossing folder from SU, rhinestones from Micheal's.

Stamping Sisters In Christ #105

Good morning... I just wanted all of you to know that I am taking a break. I am packing and moving.  I should be back up around Nov. Thank you all for blessing me by coming by and leaving comments.

It is time for another Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge, I am the host who does not have a card made because all of my stuff was packed a week ago. :) The scripture I have chosen:
ScriptureMt. 7:7-8 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

In 1975 I had moved to Jacksonville Fla. We were staying in a motel waiting for our furniture to arrive. I did not know the Lord at that time but the Holy Spirit had been moving on me with conviction. That Sunday Morning I woke up hearing the Holy Spirit speak to me, 'seek me' there was a bible in the night stand and when I pulled it out, it fell to the floor, when I picked it up my eye's went straight to this verse, it became alive in me. Right away there was an urgency to go to church, as I quickly explained to my husband what was going on we got dressed and rushed out of the door. As we were driving we were passing many church's and my husband kept asking which one, and I said " I don't know, keep driving God will show me where to go." Finally the Holy Spirit spoke and said that one right there, it was Ortega Baptist church, celebrating 100 years of service. I ran in and was about to disrupt the service, I needed this Jesus, but the Holy Spirit restrained me until after the pastor spoke. When he was done I ran up to the front of the church and was over taken by the Holy Spirit and with the Gideon bible still in hand I said " I do not want this religion that you people have here but I want this living Jesus I just read about."  That day began the journey of my spiritual walk with God, that morning planted the seeds of faith that have grown through the years. Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock, for the door will be opened. We are told to pray (ask) for the peace of Israel, for the peace of the nation we live in, for rain, food, the list goes on and on. We are to ask believing, we are to seek God diligently with all of our hearts by prayer, study of His word and guarding our soul's against sin. We are to knock, continuing until He answer's.  And this is also a command, not a suggestion!

My challenge:  Your card is to have a door,or window (use stamp or  paper)
Our sponsor this week is Simeon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and will see you after I get moved and settled.

Have a blessed day.

Stamping Sisters In Christ #103

Good Morning..It is time again for another challenge at Stampin Sisters In Christ. Today our wonderful sister Marilynn is the hostess and she has chosen --
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Her Challenge: try something that you might have been AFRAID to try before now, examples... a new technique, a new color combo, a new style (CAS if you are a Layered stamper, or reversed):

Our Sponsor this week is Paper Fashions.. They are giving a 15 dollar voucher to the blessed winner.

I tried this one, do not know the name :). But you make a frame that is the same size of your card and cut out the shape, stick it to your card, stamp then pull the frame off then use another stamp to gold emboss on top of this. I have seen it but never had the nerve to try it..:). The background stamp is Vintage border by Our Daily Bread and then I gold embossed Stamping Up garden silhouettes on top, added a little bling-bling, gold ribbon and done..

Insight:
As children of the living God, we are given  the Holy Spirit, a spirit of power a Spirit of love, but we must learn to cultivate the seeds in which God has planted in us, if we allow weeds  (doubt, forgiveness, sin) to get in, it will choke out faith. We have to learn to be faithful in the little things of this life so we will be faithful with the big things.

Make sure you stop by and visit SSIC to read the devotional and to see what my sisters have created.

Thank you for stopping by today, you all are such a blessing to me. :)

Stampin Sister's In Christ #98 Dancing

Good morning my blogging friends, it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge.  My wonderful sister Kris is our host this week and she has chosen, 2 Samuel 6:14 And David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod.

Her challenge:  Make a card that "moves" (ie. tilt card, slider, pop up, waterfall, etc.)
I got the idea from HERE.

Our sponsor is Designed2Delight, they have the cutest images.

Thoughts:
It has always amazed me how people will scream and cheer at a baseball, football, basketball game. But you can hear a pin drop in church. Why is that?? When Jesus is  Lord of Lords and King of Kings.  He is greater then any athlete, then any king, then any rock star, yet he gets no applause  for all He has done for us. He has taken our place, He died for us so we could  live, how can we even stop ourselves  from shouting - HALLELUIAH!! I love this image of David, who is king of a Nation, dancing before the Lord. He know where his help comes from. Can you imagine what would happen if the presidant of the USA Danced before the Lord!!

Make sure you stop by and read Kris devotional for this morning over at Stampin Sisters In Christ.

Stamp Sister's In Christ #96

Good Sunday Morning! It is time for a new "Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge".  My wonderful sister Peggy Sue is the hostess and she has chosen,  Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.

Be Still.. Not murmuring or complaining, Not on the phone with our friends and family telling of our troubles, but on our knee's in the quiet of early morning or late night, bringing  our requests and troubles to Our Heavenly Father  believing and waiting for Him to answer. It is in the answering of prayer that we know God is. We have to be still to hear Him, for He speaks quietly and leads gently. Have you ever said to one of your children "Be still, and listen to me!" That is what God is saying here when trials and trouble surrounds us, "Be still and know that I am God."

Her challenge -  CAS (Clean & Simple)

Our Sponsor is Clear Dollar Stamps, 15$ gift card.

Receipe:
Stamp: Daffodil corn and scriptue collection 3 from Our Daily Bread
Ink: tuxedo Black Memento
Paper: Georgia Pacific
Tools: copics

Have a Fabulous 4th of July weekend.

My Garden

Good morning! Thanks for joining us at  Stampin Sister's in Christ for another challenge based on the Word of God.

This week our lovely  Linda is the host and she has chosen:
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you. That ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Linda's challenge : Use something new on your project - it can be a new product, technique, embellishment - even a color combo that is new for you - Show us what you got!!

Our sponsor is "Clear Dollar Stamps" prize is  $15.00 in stamps.

I used this new stamp I got from Joann's, it comes from the dollar stamp bin and this is the studio 112, I got 8 of these, they must be something new, they are large and stamp beautifully. I also used a new embossing folder  from Quick Kutz. colored with copics and added  ultra-fine flower soft.

Insight: John 13:34-35 'That you love one another as I have loved you.'

This is one of my 'many' favorite verse's. Love. Growing up in a home with no love or affection only violence and hate, one would assume that I would grow up with a personality of the same. Though I was heading in that direction, it was an encounter with Christ Jesus that changed the coarse of my life. The love of Christ for me and in me changed me to love all those around me. As He freely loved and forgave me, I freely loved and forgave those who abused me, not with words but with action. When my abusers were ill, I took care of them to the point that they gave their lives to Him. Love is a powerful force, changing and making new all of us who surrender totally in the Master's Hand.

Thank you for stopping by and I so appreciate your comments.
Have a Blessed day

SSIC#82

Good Sunday Morning all you fabulously creative bloggers!!  It is time for "Stampin Sisters in Christ" challenge. My sweet sister Grace is our host and she has chosen - Proverbs 10:20-21

"The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver, the heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for the lack of understanding."

Her Challenge - Create a card/project that encourages and use a touch of silver.

Our Sponsor this week is 'My Favorite Things' they are giving away  a $25 dollar gift card. How fabulous is that!!!

Thoughts:
The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver. The words we speak should be words of love, words that give life and not death. My grandmother use to say 'you get more with honey then with vinegar'. We are to think before we speak, and we should speak from the Word of God that we have hidden in our hearts.
When you work with a lot of people there is bound to be disagreements, sometimes heated. As I have shared before, I pray before I go to work and pray during my breaks that I would measure my words, that I would be a peace maker not a trouble maker :). We had some trouble last week and my boss was upset, I told him that the best way to solve conflicts is to love and forgive, he rejected that immediately, but during the weekend he fell asleep and woke up to a program that was preaching...'Love and forgiveness'. :) He came back Monday and told me I was so right. When a righteous man speaks, people will listen, for his words will be like the words from Christ, they will be words of life, words of encouragement. Nothing else will do.

Make sure you stop by my other Sisters in Christ and give them some love.

Receipe:
Stamp: Rain fall Flopsey "My Favorite Things" Which they were so gracious to allow SSIC to pick what they wanted for this challenge.
Paper: Gina K. Oceon Mist, design paper  'Lush' My Minds eye,  which I won from Cats Meow blog hop.
Tools: Cloud die-namics from My Favorite Things, copics, cuttlebug, buttons from my win.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments, they mean the world to me.

Have a Blessed Day

Help..

Good morning, I do hope all of you had a blessed week..
It is time for the Stampin Sister's in Christ challenge#89.. Chris is our host this morning and she has chosen -

Psalm 121:2-4 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. HE will not let your foot slip, He who watches over you will not slumber, indeed, HE who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
What a message of hope, in this verse we can stand  and not be shaken for God does not lie.

When I was around 13, I ran away from home, I went to Hartford CT. I was living in an abandoned building, washing and eating at the Y, they also gave out free clothing, so I was a well dressed homeless runaway :). One night as I was in this abandoned building, I began to question God about my life, why did it have to be so hard, what can I do, I am to young to get a job, I wanted more for my life that He had given. All of a sudden a voice spoke to me and told me to go out side and around the corner there was a coffee shop, the women who comes to the counter, tell her you need a place to stay. It was 1 am and though I doubted a little, I did as I heard. When I got to the counter I told the person who waited on me exactly what the Holy Spirit had told me. You know what?? She took me in and kept me for a week until I finally told her who I was.  She brought me a bus ticket and sent me home. I know from experience the WORD of GOD is true, that HE does not slumber now sleep, that HE who created the heavens and the universe knows me personally, HE knows and has counted every tear drop that has fallen from my eye's. I have learned from an early age, to depend and trust in GOD.

Chris's challenge: Create a card or project with a tea or coffee cup or pot, this can be the designer paper, the image or embellishment.

Our Sponsor is The Crafts Meow which will be giving away  a stamp set designed by Nina Brackett. How fabulous is that!!

Make sure you stop by Stampin Sisters in Christ to read Chris's devotional and to see the fabulous creations of my other sisters.

A Lamp

Good morning...It is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge..MariLynn  is the host this morning and she has chosen -

Romans 8: 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Her challenge - No designer paper, Paper must start as a solid color.
Our Sponsor is Clear Dollar Stamps, 15 dollars in stamps.

Please stop by to read MariLynn's devotion at Stampin Sisters In Christ. And stop by my other wonderful sisters to be inspired and to show them love.

Insight:
I learned early on in my Christian walk that God is in full control of all things. When Joseph was in prison, God gave him favor among the ungodly. Job, who lost all his family and wealth in one day, learned that nothing can be done to a redeemed child without God's authority or permission. Like those who have gone before us, the Christian journey is not paved in gold, but with mine fields and pot holes, storms, mountains and day's of great darkness..But we who are called the redeemed, can walk through all in peace, knowing that God is right there with us and that He has a purpose and plan for our life, all we have to do is believe..

Resurrection Sunday

Good Resurrection Sunday!! What a glorious day this is that we celebrate. This post is on auto pilot so I sure do hope it lands on time :).
Well it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge, I am the host today and I have chosen -
Luke 24:46-47
And Jesus said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all Nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Our Host this week is Serendipity Stamps, they are giving out A QCL sized cling set of the winner's choice. How sweet is that!!

My challenge: Make a circle card.

Devotion

Times are changing. When I gave my life to Christ , it was taught that we were called to be holy as Christ is holy, we may never achieve the holiness of Christ but that it should be our main goal in life. Repentance of sin was the necessary step.

Our pastor had asked us in April to pray for him for a WORD from God to preach on Easter Sunday Morning, because many people will be there who do not come to church except on Christmas and Easter. I work with people who tell me they had given their lives to Christ but it did not stick! I also work with those who have given their lives to Christ, who have not changed. And this verse that is often used on Easter Sunday Morning comes to my mind and the part that is often forgotten “REPENT”, to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life, to feel sorrow, regret, or contrition. The word say’s we are to be new creatures in Christ. He paid the price to give us this new life.
Holiness is a battle, but our love for the Savior and what He has done is our motivator! My prayer for all of us in Christ is that we stay the course set before us, where we are weak that He will make us strong, that Christ and Christ alone is our only LOVE, that we repent of all those things that are not right and pleasing in His sight, that we walk worthy of the high call placed before us, Christ calls us Royal Priest’s, let us truly walk as though we are, preaching the gospel and setting the example. Let Christ’s suffering and death not be in vain in our lives.

Stamp: Our Daily Bread, gold embossed.

Make sure you stop by Stampin Sisters In Christ and see what my other sisters have created.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a blessed Day
