Stampin Sisters In Christ #117

Good Sunday Morning.. It is time once again for another Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge. Our lovely Linda is the hostess today and she has chosen,
Matthew 6:25-34 ".... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?...."
Linda's challenge for us is to Create a project that has a bird on it - as DP, image or charm.
Our sponsor for this challenge is "Sweet & Sassy" giving a $10 gift certificate to the winner.

Insight:
Yes I am greater then the fowls of the air which God feeds and cares for, how much more will He do for me.. Our greatest problem is believing! Walking in this earth we get weighed down with the cares of this world, that is where prayer and worship is so important for us who claim Jesus Christ, It is a daily way of life, closing every door which Satan can come in and cause doubt to creep in.

Make sure you stop by the Stampin Sisters In Christ blog to see what my sisters have created and to read Linda's devotional for this morning.

Receipe:
Stamp: Our daily bread

Until next time

Stampin Sister's In Christ #97 And Blog Candy

Good Morning..It is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. I am the host today and I have chosen-
James 2:18-19
Someone will say, You have faith, and I have works, "Show me your faith without  your works and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well, even the demons believe and tremble.

Mt. 7 say's "many will come to me in that day and say, Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in your name, did we not cast demons out in your name, did we not do miracles things in your name, and He will say, "away from me you worker of iniquity, for I NEVER knew you."

We are living in a time of great compromise. We seem to forget that God is serious about His Word and He warned us not to be deceived.. Our salvation is not based on works but Grace, James is making it very clear that there must be fruit of our confession of faith in Christ. Obedience is greater then sacrifice (works). If you are truly born again you are a new creation, you are different, the things you use to do, you do not do any more, we over come sin by the blood of the lamb. Our new nature desires holiness, yes we may stumble along the way but our desire to love God with all our heart, mind & soul helps us to get up and continue to run this race.

I work with many Christians who if you met, you would not know that they are children of God. They are perverse, slanders, gossips, thieves, the list goes on. Each one I pray for and go to, to explain to them that they are not walking in the light of Christ, and if they are not walking in the light how can they preach the gospel of Christ to the lost all around them. I explain that darkness and light have nothing in common, and a proverb my grandmother used to tell me , "If you lay down with dogs you will get up with fleas." We are called to be royal priest and that takes work and discipline, we are to be conforming our self's into the image of Christ . We are called to be a light in a dark world, but I ask them, "Where is your light?" "Where is the power of Christ in you changing you into His likeness?" I would be just as guilty as they if I did not warn them, preach to them, show them the error of their walk. I have no fear of man or what people think, but I am commanded to fear God. Am I perfect? No! But I put my hand to the plow moving forward to the high call placed before me, not looking behind but forward. James is saying "It is not enough to say you believe" for even demons believe, show me by your actions that you are children of the Redeemed.

My Challenge: "What works for you" use your favorite item for stamping, it could be a stamp, embossing folder or favorite spellbinder shape.
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, who is giving  "Deer with Forest Family" to one blessed winner. And this set is just adorable.

Also I am weeding through my stamps and have decided instead of selling them I am going to give them away as blog candy, so once a month I will have a new one up. This is the candy for this week. It will end July 17th
This is a brand new Stamping Up Stamp "because I Care". What do you have to do?? You must be a member, I want to bless those who have been a blessing to  me by stopping by here weekly and always encouraging me. That's all.. Also If you participate in the Stampin in Sisters Challenge this week, I will put your name in twice. :) Just let me know you would like this stamp when you leave a comment.

What works for me:
Ink: silver glitter embossing powder
Paper: Gina K luxury white, My minds eye, garden  vignettes. flower from McMahon 5 -
Tools: cuttle bug, spellbinders label 17, MS punch

Stamp Sister's In Christ #94

Good Sunday Morning... It is time for a new challenge at Stampin Sisters In Christ. This morning MariLynn is our host and her scripture for this morning is,

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things unseen. (KJV)

Her challenge, "Make a card that you doodle on."

Our Sponsor is Our Daily Bread.

Insight:
Faith believes God at His word. Our entire journey in this life as children of God is to learn  to walk by faith and not by sight. Some years ago I was laid off of my job, and I was a single mother!  I never doubted that the Lord would lead me to a job, that He would open a door for me, I was open to Him for Him to chose the job He wanted me to have, not what I thought I should have. Starting young in Christ, I have learned to pull in close to Him when things go bad and He has always been faithful. One of the verses I repeat to God in my darkest hours is from David, "I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor their children begging for bread."

Stop by Stampin Sisters in Christ to read Marilynn's  devotional, then stop by and see what my other Sister's In Christ have created.

Receipe:
Stamp: Our Daily Bread, Harvest Blessing. ODB tags 3
Ink: Tuxedo black memento
Tools: copis, glitter, labels 4 die, swiss dots, cuttlebug.

Thank you for stopping by,  and remember when you leave a comment, it goes to moderate, I work nights so I can not read them and load them until I get home around 1 am. :)

Lisa's challenge is : A different kind of peace... piece... as in paper piecing. Use paper piecing in the main image of your card/project.

SSIC #79 Flowers

Good Morning  all you fabulous people who stop by here :)! It is time for another Stampin Sisters In Christ challenge. My wonderful sister Chris is the host this morning, and she has chosen: Isaiah 40:7
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Please stop by SSIC to read her devotional this morning!

Chris's challenge today is: Flowers..Use a flower image on your creation, ( dp, embossing or paper flowers do not count as a stamped flower)

Our sponsor this week is Clear Dollar Stamps, who is giving a 15 dollars gift certificate to one blessed winner. :)..

Insight:
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God shall stand forever.

Numbers 23:19 says "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"

What a comfort that all of God's promises are yes and amen. He has promised trials and difficulties and He also promised to never leave us nor forsake us in them. From the beginning God promised us redemption and He gave us Christ, his only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. No matter what the world say's or thinks, it will be Gods Word that stands when all else is gone.

This is also for:
By the cute and girly challenge: Spring

Stamp: Our Daily Bread, "from me to you"
Ink: Tuxedo black, copics
Tools: Cuttle bug, large dot folder, nestibilites vine, MS punch.

Have a Blessed Day

It is time for another challenge for Stamping Sisters in Christ. This is our first challenge for the New Year, how exciting.   It feels good to be starting our challenges again.
Chris is the host this week, and her challenge is "wings" do a card or project with wings. Simeon Say's is our sponsor

Be sure to visit Stamping Sisters In Christ to be inspired  by Chris devotional and to see what my other sisters have created.

I decided that I will stretch my wings some for the new year. As many know I do not like doing "projects" :) (they never come out right)
Well this year I plan on doing a few and I started my first one for this challenge. Here is the tutorial for this bag, over at Splitcoast.  Now I wasted 4 sheets of good paper trying this out before I realized I am not good at using my score pal, so I got out my MS score and it is fabulous for doing "projects"

This is also for:
Craft your days away (anything goes)

Stamps: Recollections "Valentine"
Ink: Stamping Up
Paper: Basic Grey, SU
Tools: Cuttle bug, nestibilites, cuttle bug die for the hearts.

Hope you like :)
