All of you who have been coming by have been such a blessing to me and an inspiration, I
just want to let you all know that I am on a Sabbatical for the month of Aug. This is a very busy time for me, with work, my son coming home, reflection in the Word of God and His will for me, and I am in the middle of writing a play and getting actors together. The name of the play is "Does God love me to?" God willing I will be back in Sept.

Mish-Ka-Dew

I love this word, Mish-ka-dew. I work with many diverse people from around the world, and one day this guy said he was having Mish-ka-dew for dinner, I asked him what is that? It is a stew with all the left overs from the week, a little of this and a little of that, and I have been using that word to replace " a mess" :). First I had a ribbon on this, then decided against it and forgot that tape was on the inside and now the card is taped shut :), second as I was putting on the layers ever so right, I realized when I was done, the card is upside down, the opening is at the top. :). So this is my Mish-Ka-Dew card "A Mesh"
The stamp is Touch of nature by stamping up, I stamped the flower and used my stamp ma jing to aline the butterfly. This is colored with copics, the border was done with touch of nature and black embossing powder.

Whatca Looking At!

A person can look ok on the out side, clean, well dressed, hair just in place, but when you peel the flesh away what will you see? Is your soul in great shape, or is it a mess, if your pretty or handsome on the outside is your soul ugly on the inside, if your smiling on the outside, is your soul weeping on the inside. Our emotional state is our soul trying to communicate the real condition of the man/flesh.
Mt 12:34 "For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" What is deep within us really does show, in what we speak and how we act. When I saw this stamp it reminded me of what our souls look like without Christ.
This is for the stamp tv sketch challenge, the paper is DWC, now the stamp I do not know, so if some one recongnizes it please tell me, colored this with copics and pencil, used my nesties, and that little cat is a sticker, as well as the little hearts on her robe.

It's the weekend

This is for 2 challenges, first for the Lady's Inc, create a sketch, this is really not me, and my concern was that there are thousands of sketches out there and I am sure mine looks like one of them even tho I just created this :). The second challenge is the stamp TV color challenge.
The rose is from Gina K and the butterfly is from Hanko designs, stamped with Tuxedo black memento ink, colored with copics, stickles on the butterfly, the paper is Basic Grey, used Fiskers punch and cuttle bug, the ribbon is from Micheals. Alrighty then, you all have a great weekend.

When God Speaks

All through the Word of God you see God working on behalf of man. In 1Kings 17 we find that there was a drought that begun and it would last 3 years, the Lord spoke to Elijah and said " go down to the brook Cherith for I have commanded the ravens to feed you there". And every day, twice a day the ravens brought Elijah bread and meat for breakfast and dinner. Can you imagine ravens bringing you food daily! Many find that hard to believe! For how can you believe the big things God can do when you can not believe Him for the little things.. The only stipulations on the Promises of God is that you BELIEVE. Because when God speaks anything and everything is possible, including ravens bringing breakfast and dinner.

This is for the midnight sketch challenge, I feel like a pinto parked among cougars over there :) these are some talented people.
Stamp is from dog gone stamps, colored with copics and pencil, cut out with nesties and put on some chocolate chip by su, the design paper is from creative image, the flower? and that piece in the center of the flower were some animal print tiles for jewelry from Micheal's.

Good morning Monday! Tho I love my job, I am ready to retire, I am ready to slow down and just smell the flowers, enjoy this beautiful creation more, and that takes time. This is my first sketch challenge for Midnight madness.

Thinking of you

Well it is just gorgeous out side today!! I was in bed by 2:30 am and up by 8:am, did 2 loads of laundry, grocery shopped, walked the dog, visited my 92 year old neighbor, we watch a 11 am cooking show together :), and she cooks for me every Sat. mowed the lawn, raked, went to 4 yard sales, got great stuff and spent 5 dollars, yahoooo!! mopped my floors, cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed and now it is 4:30pm. I can say I had a most productive day.
I work with an engineer who's mother is a retired school teacher who is now a teachers assistant. I had made some treats for her kids and they sent me the biggest and cutest thank you poster. Well this is one of the sets of cards I am making for her to send out to other people.

Stamp "Thinking of you" by Justrite, stamping up design paper that my secret sister sent me :). I gold embossed this, did the white center panel by running through the cuttle bug with my swiss folder, "love my cuttle bug, cut the image out with my nesties large oval, "got to love those nesties". Satisfied

It seems the more we have the more we want, and what we have is never enough. Are you satisfied? The Word of God speaks a lot about being satisfied in the place of life He has given us. Whether we are in the season of plenty or the season of want, there are lessons to be learned, the greatest lesson is to be able to be thankful, grateful for the steak or the slice of bread. Because God wants to know that we love Him for who He is not what we can Get. I have been homeless with no food to eat and I have been alone, but I have been blessed to be satisfied with presence of God, I love Him for who He is not because of what I have.

This stamp comes from Lindy's stamp gang, she has the cutest stamps, the women who created these stamps died almost 2 years ago, but her company is still growing strong. I Cut this out with nesties, colored with pencil and gamsol, embossed with the cuttle bug. The paper is DCWV, and I have no idea where I got those spoons. This is for the Splitcoast sketch challenge. Monday Again

Well Monday is here again, it seems to come by to fast. I hope every one had a wonderful weekend. I surely did, the temps were 80 with blue skys, something we have not seen to often this summer, and we are having thunderstorms for the next 4 days.
This is for the stamp TV sketch challenge. I stamped this 3 times and paper pieced the flower and a few leaves, paper pieced the pot. used my nesties and the Fiskars boarder punch, these things are great, especially the storage saver ones. Colored with pencil and oms.

THE ARMY OF THE LORD

A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door shaking hands with the people as they were leaving. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside. The preacher said to him, "Brother, you need to join the Army of the Lord!"

My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, preacher."

The preacher looked puzzled and asked, "How come I don't see you in church except at Christmas and Easter?"

My friend whispered back, "I'm in the secret service.".
