In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heaven and earth.
This is one of my favorite scriptures, (I know, I have a lot.) :) it is one I have always believed therefore since I believed the words in the beginning of the bible it has always been easy for me to believe the rest of the accounts given.
One thing I have learned about Creation is that it takes FAITH to believe in a living God who gives an account of How and when He created the Heaven and Earth. It takes faith to believe in the account of Adam & Eve, Satan and all of the other accounts in the Bible. But I also find that people who say they do not believe in creation do not want to be ruled by the Creator therefore denying his existence gives them freedom to sin. What are your thoughts on this verse and the rest of God’s story?
The challenge this week is to create a nature card, using birds, trees, MT's, flowers, the sky is the limit.

This card would have worked just as easily for last week's SSIC also. "Peace" This card is so peaceful to me. And, I love your thoughts on this Scripture. I agree, if you believe "In the Beginning"...how could you not believe the rest?
