Our Labor is not in Vain

Good Morning all you fabulous bloggers. I do hope your 4th was fabulous. It down poured here in RI, but I still had a great day :).

I created this card for Our Daily Bread challenge "red, white & blue".
I do love how this turned out, I am finding I love doing CAS cards and love a lot of white. I used Recollections heavy weight card stock, love this for the base, then I used fancy borders and spellbinders stars. The scripture comes from Our Daily Bread "Serve the Lord". The round flag and bling comes from K&Company.

My card from last week won "The shinning the light award" I am so excited, makes me think I am doing a some what good job on creating cards :)

The verse 1 Co 15:38, Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, I learned early on in my Christian walk that this means more then "Sunday School teachers, choir, or any other ministry of church. It also means the works of love, mercy, the daily grind of life, the raising up of children is a ministry, our job's are a ministry, our enemies are a ministry. Our whole life from the rising of the sun to the going down is a ministry. As long as Christ lives in us we live to labor for HIS kingdom in all that we do or say.

Well that is it for me,  You all have a Blessed Day.

Beautiful Becky! Love the scalloped edging and those stars really pop! It was very dreary here on the 4th, but didn't rain.

Becky, this is a beautiful card. I, too, love white space. Of course, at times, I love pretty, patterned papers all over. Guess I like it all. Wonderful verse you used, too.

Congrats on your Shining Light award. Certainly, you are doing a great job on your cards.

Oh Becky, I always enjoy looking at your cards!! They are so beautiful!! You surely deserve to be spotlighted!! This card is beautiful as well with the texture, verse and that swirly border!! The verse in my opinion is so appropriate to go with the patriotic theme since it is our responsibility as Christians to share the gospel in both word and deed. Thanks so much for sharing with us at the ODBD Shining the Light challenge.
hugs,
Chris
