Thinking of you

Good Morning;
I went over to my girlfriends house who is very artsy crafty and she made me, yes made me :) decorate a plan box, way out of my comfort box. Well this is it, I did love doing it and got another smaller one that I am still thinking on.

I painted it then used SU design paper. I decided to put a drawer handle on it so it would be easier to lift. It came out ok, but nothing like the beauties I have seen. But at least I tried.

I also created this card for CAS on Sundays (color)

The stamps are from  Blue Ridge Impressions
This is an A2 card

WOW Becky..that box is fabulous! I have never tried one either and it is definitely out of my comfort zone to do it. I love the CAS card too! Great job on both!!!

Your box looks beautiful, Becky! Who can resist a box - it's like cats with paper bags.... ;) And I love the clean lines of your card. That sentiment would be so useful for someone who, for various reasons, might be celebrating a bitter-sweet birthday (like my friend whose husband died 4 weeks before her 70th)

It is a lovely box. Hope you can put lots of craft goodies in it. I like things to "fit in my box" as well, but it is good to go outside the box sometimes. :)

Your box looks very pretty and sturdy. You did good for your first box. It's the correct shape! That's more than I could hope for if I were to make one. I like the decorative handle you put on top.

Your one-layer card is very nice too. Someone will have an enjoyable birthday!

Becky I am so glad your friend 'made you' decorate the box, it is beautiful, and you have made a wonderful job of it.
Love your card - the sentiment is so wonderful it deserves to be the focal image.

what a fun box. i have a couple of boxes i got at mikes for $1.66 and they are plain and i was like :( because they didn't have any of their pretty ones in the stack. SMACK my head, why didn't i think that I could deco them myself. Thanks for the idea Becky! --also amazed at your creation as i just did one very similar. check it out here. http://janeen-alittlebitofthisandthat.blogspot.com/2014/03/stamp-152-153.html

You did a fantastic job on your box! I think it's beautiful! You were comparing it to others... it's just a matter of what you like and want. You could always add some flowers on the lid in a corner like a spray. Your card is gorgeous and is so spring like with the colors you used on the image.

Hi Rebekka, lovely box and card. So nice to see you use stamps from Blue Ridge Impressions. As their designer I was wondering if you could change the link you posted here under your card, you typed Blue Ridge Mountain, their name is "Blue Ridge Impressions". Thank you so much. Hope you have a lovely day.
