May Your Day Be Filled With Joy

Good morning! I just heard on the news we are getting snow flurries tomorrow :(.

I made this card for a dear sister in Christ who has had a nervous break down. The Holy Spirit kept pressing her on me one morning and I called to find out she had attempted to take her life, she has always been very fragile emotionally, she would not let me take her to the hospital so I call the police to go over there immediately. She is safe and in the hospital doing better. Since we work together I made sure she got paid, got her son to make arrangements for her to get  long term disability and am making sure her home is cleaned before she comes there. I share all of this to encourage others that love is long suffering, When I prayed "Lord use me" He brought this sister into my life, she has not always been easy but I loved her with the love of Christ in me. When she tried to isolate herself by not inviting me to her home, I would show up unannounced and sit with her, she always felt better that I did. Yes..I am the only friend she has and I could no way give up on her as Christ has never given up on me. I pray that we all be and stay sensitive to the great emotional needs of others.

I am entering this card in the Christian Paper craft sketch challenge

Receipe:
Paper: Basic Grey "LilyKate" Marks finest water paper.
Tools: Cuttle bug, nestibilities, water colors with SU inks

Have a Blessed Day
Rebekka

What a blessing you have been to your friend & co-worker. It is so sad that she has experienced such depression. May God work in her life to bring her out of these depths.

Your card is just lovely as always, Becky. The Lord uses your talents in so many ways.

Love & hugs!

Becky, of course your card is just wonderful - but what a true friend you are! Glad she is in the hospital now and doing better - and thanks to you! I know a little bit about what she is going though as I came close to have a nervous breakdown several years ago. That is just not something you can overlook and sweep under the rug.

Good Morning Rebekka,
I hope that your friend is recovering and how lucky is she to have you in her life. Not just supporting her but being so, so practical.
You are so right in your post for when we stop noticing the emotional needs of those around us be they family, friends or even strangers we ourselves become less.
Each and every one of us will have, many times in our life, the need for a kind word or a thoughtful deed and it is this response, this reaching out and empathising that makes us the people we are.
Please, Rebekka make sure there are also people in your life that you can share your responses to your feelings too.
Carers need CARE TOO!

Now about your card. Of course it is beautiful as it is filled with the thoughts you have for your friend.
Be well.
Julie

Your actions do not surprise me in the least. You are such a wonderful person and I have a feeling that this is very typical of you. You are so giving and such a caring person. I think that there is someone in all of our lives that could use a friend or just someone to sit with who is lonely. You are an inspiration. So is your card. Just beautiful. I hope your friend gets through this and becomes stronger. Best, Curt
