Thinking of You

I am so excited and so honored to be the guest designer for "Stampin Sisters in Christ" for the month of June. This site has just encouraged me spiritually and creatively.

The scripture for this morning is Genesis 1:26: And God said, "let us make man in our image and after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
In a high school class I had a teacher who began to teach on evolution, as she pointed to some pictures of monkeys evolving into man, she said, "and this is how man got here". I jumped up out of my seat and boldly proclaimed "you may have come from a monkey but I was created by God".
:) And when I attended URI my thesis was?? You guessed it.. "Creation vs evolution". To me evolution never made sense, the earth and all that is in it is to complex just to happen. But then again, it takes faith to believe all that is written in God's Word. "Got Faith??"

The challenge is to make a card or project of an animal, bird, fish.
This stamp is from doggone stamps, he is so cute and I just had to buy him :). He is stamped on Gina K luxury white cut out with nesties and that design paper comes from Micheal's as well as the square studs. I used the split coast sketch #283.

Well have a Blessed Day

What a wonderful card, Rebekka! I love giraffes! I love the way you used the background paper and the silhouettes.

As far as evolution versus creation, I always remind folks that while they might have scientifically traced life back to the Big Bang, they cannot explain the Big Bang. I can. It was GOD!

We're so happy to have you joining us at SSCC!

Hugs,
Lisa

You were one brave girl in high school, not many kids would have stood up to say that, good for you! And that giraffe image just makes me smile . . . is he presenting someone with that flower, or about to chew on it? :) Great thoughts, I cannot imagine anything other than the hand of the creator making us and the world in which we live; takes more 'faith' to believe in the theory of evolution than to believe in a creator if you ask me.

Hi Becky - this is so adorable and I love what you shared - when my DD2 was 6 she was telling me that people believe we come from a big bang and others believe from monkeys - she looked at me incredulous and said 'it takes more faith to believe that, than to believe in God doesn't it!!' Out of the mouth of babes!!! Love this Becky! God bless you! {{{hugs}}}
